About

I am currently doing my doctoral study in Gazi University and studing on Turkey-EU Political Relations. I had a master’s degree in the same institute on education policy and my thesis was about “Globalization’s Impact on Curriculum Studies”. I also have a great interest not only in political sociology and history but also in philosophy of society and simultaneously have attended to the master programme of Philosophy Department in Hacettepe University.

I gained many professional experiences in international organizations and NGO’s through the project based works and researches in different sectors and I had a chance to transform the theoretical knowledge into the practice.

I did my internship for United Nations Higher Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) at the department of Public Relations and conducted a survey for UNHCR regarding contemporary health conditions and implementations in the University and some State Hospitals in Van and reported its results to the relevant agencies. Thanks to my internship I had a chance to gain a great knowledge on international and national law regarding refugees and migrants.

Working for NGO’s and international organizations I have also previous experiences in project development and management. I have been working at a coordination team of a Project called “Eradicating the Worst Forms of Child Labor in Turkey”. This Project was implemented in 7 pilot cities with the technical support of International Labor Organization (ILO) by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, financially supported by European Union (EU).

I have acted as an international relations officer for a national NGO, namely LOSEV-The Foundation for Children with Leukemia and have been responsible for conducting international relations of the foundation; preparing projects and seeking project based partnerships with UN Agencies, participating to EU related trainings and conferences, establishing cooperation and partnerships with equivalent international organizations, visiting Foreign Missions in Turkey to organize joint charity activities; conducting Embassy projects, preparing corporate social responsibility projects and representing the foundation in international platforms and in abroad missions.

Lately I have acted as a Communication Officer and had been responsible for developing and implementing of the annual information and communication plan of the IPA Cross-border programme between Bulgaria and Turkey. Actively participated in the planning and organizing of official meetings, events, seminars and other media events to secure their visibility and maximise their impact; contributed to preparation and continuous update of the information for Programme’s website, leaflets, brochures and other publications, etc.; represented the programme in public and coordinate all external information.
